Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts

The Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts (BAMA) program focuses on the critical study and creative production of media. Students learn theoretical and critical approaches to media research, writing, and production. The program has a particular focus on media and information literacy, disaster communication, and cultural heritage preservation.

Your career options

The BAMA program focuses on enhancing communication skills and developing multimedia creativity, threading purposive and creative communication together. The program equips its students with both the technical and practical expertise necessary in media studies and practice, towards enlivening and augmenting print, radio, television, and film media in Region VIII.

  • Media broadcasting: journalists, radio/TV reporters/broadcasters, media managers
  • Filmmaking: screenwriters, directors, producers, cinematographers, production designers, editors, sound engineers
  • Communication design: copywriters, graphic artists, photographers, advertisers
  • Public relations and specialized communication: information officers, science communication specialists, health communication specialists, disaster communication specialists
