The Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics program introduces students to the empirical study of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services, which is essential to addressing the problem of scarcity. Students learn about the parts of the economy – individuals, firms, and industries – and aspects of the economy as a whole like growth in the standard of living, unemployment, and inflation, and monetary policy and fiscal policy.
