UP Tacloban BA Psychology graduate joins Gurong Pahinungód

BA Psychology graduate and new alumnus Raymond T. Balderian is one of 16 Gurong Pahinungód volunteers from several UP constituent units who will serve in public secondary schools for school year 2024-2025.

The pinning ceremony for the Gurong Pahinungod volunteers was held on 23 July 2024 at the BOR Conference Room, Quezon Hall, UP Diliman, with UP President Angelo A. Jimenez presiding. The 16 Gurong Pahinungod have been deployed to Paracelis, Mountain Province; San Remigio, Antique; Culasi, Antique; Pikit, North Cotabato; and South Upi, Maguindanao.
The Gurong Pahinungód program, a flagship initiative of the UP System Ugnayan ng Pahinungód, highlights UP’s commitment to promoting quality education for all. Each year, the Ugnayan ng Pahinungód System invites UP graduates who embody the university’s values of honor, excellence, and service to dedicate a year of their lives to serving underserved communities as Gurong Pahinungód.
