Learning Outcomes

At the end of the MSCS program, students should be able to:

  1. Develop a software and/or algorithmic approach to meet a set of requirements in a specific applied or theoretical domain;
  2. Communicate knowledge in computing effectively to audiences of varying technical competencies;
  3. Incorporate ethical and professional computing practices in problem-solving and decision-making;
  4. Exhibit leadership and teamwork skills in academic and professional settings;
  5. Integrate concepts, principles, and methodologies from different computer science knowledge areas to analyze and solve a complex computing problem; and
  6. Create knowledge through research and development in a specific specialization area.
