Padayon Pagbukwat han Aton Kaagi: An International Lecture Series on World War II Leyte

UP Tacloban College, through its Leyte Samar Heritage Center (LSHC) and in coordination with the Leyte Samar Heritage Society, Inc., invites you to “Padayon Pagbukwat han Aton Kaagi: An International Lecture Series on World War II Leyte” on 17–18 October 2025 at the LSHC Gallery, UP Tacloban.
Marking the 81st anniversary of the Leyte Landing, the lecture series continues last year’s discussion on the decolonization of World War II Leyte by surfacing untold Leyteño stories and reexamining global events through local perspectives. Speakers from South Korea, South Africa, and the Philippines will share insights on ongoing struggles against fascism and colonialism.
