2026 PPSA Presidents’ Lecture Series on Philippine Democracy

The Department of Economics and Political Science (DEPS) of UP Tacloban invites you to the 2026 PPSA Presidents’ Lecture Series on Philippine Democracy, on 30 September 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN at the Library Hall, UP Tacloban.
The lecture will feature Prof. Maria Ela L. Atienza, PhD, who will discuss the emerging trends, critical gaps, and strategic opportunities in local politics. This event aims to foster meaningful academic exchange and public engagement by examining the evolving dynamics of local governance and pressing political issues impacting both Eastern Visayas and the nation.
This event is organized in partnership with the Philippine Political Science Association (PPSA) and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Philippines as part of PPSA’s 65th Anniversary celebration.
