UP Tacloban’s BS Economics program hosted 4th Oikonomia forum

UP Tacloban’s BS Economics program, in collaboration with the Economics Society, hosted the 4th Oikonomia forum on 10 April 2025 at the AS Conference Room.
Dr. Aileen V. Lapitan of UP Los Baños discussed the unique economic challenges and opportunities of small islands. She also introduced the Sustainable Livelihood Approach (SLA) as one of the frameworks for understanding these economies.
The Oikonomia forum is a year-long seminar series, with the next session on the Philippine budget process scheduled for 19 August 2025, featuring Dr. Cielo D. Magno.
