UP Tacloban hosts 3rd Oikonomia forum

UP Tacloban’s BS Economics program and Economics Society held the 3rd Oikonomia forum on “The Economics of Trust and Its Impacts on Policy Decisions” on 21 March 2025 at the AS Conference Hall.

Dr. Jefferson A. Arapoc of the University of the Philippines Los Baños discussed how trust shapes economic systems, influences policy decisions, and impacts national development, examining the Philippines’ trust deficit and exploring solutions to this challenge.

The 4th Oikonomia forum on “Growing Against the Tide: Sustainable Development for Small Island Economies” with Dr. Aileen V. Lapitan, Dean of the UPLB College of Public Affairs and Development, will be held on 10 April 2025.

The Oikonomia forums is a year-long seminar series covering emerging economic concepts and issues.
