UP Tacloban holds forum on digital transformation

Faculty members and research, extension, professional, and administrative personnel attended the two-part “TechFluence: Growing Capacities for Digital Transformation” forum held on 08 and 11 April 2024 at the AS Conference Hall.

UP Assistant Vice President for Digital Transformation (Dx) Dr. Peter A. Sy gave an overview of UP’s digital transformation agenda at the forum held on 8 April 2024. Dr. John Paul Yusiong, UPTC’s System Administrator and Dx Adviser, also presented the college’s Dx plans and programs. After the forum, Dr. Sy met with the UPTC Dx Committee to discuss the implementation of the college’s Dx plans.

On 11 April 2024 Mr. Leslie G. Bolaños, who is the Dx Program Lead of UP Los Baños (UPLB), presented the UPLB Dx experience and UPLB’s Academic Management Information System (AMIS). At the same forum, Ms. Genesis Giselle Talatala-Baseleres of UPLB’s Gender Center introduced UPLB’s Gender and Development Management Information System (GAD MIS).

The TechFluence forum series was organized by the Office of the System Administrator. It is part of a planned program of activities to promote digital literacy, a culture of innovation, and technology integration in academic and administrative processes and systems in UP Tacloban College in line with the college’s commitment to digital transformation.
