Symposium on Translator: Book Talk on Ester Tapia’s Húbad

UP Tacloban College opens its celebration of National Arts Month with a symposium on translation featuring a book talk by Professor Emeritus Merlie Alunan on translating Ester Tapia’s poetry collection “Húbad.” The talk will be held on Wednesday, 12 February, 1:30 PM at the Leyte Samar Heritage Center.
“Húbad” won as Best Translated Book in English in the recent National Book Awards.

The symposium is part of the Panuratan Series of the Division of Humanities promoting studies on the literary translation, literary history, and literary production of Eastern Visayas literature.
