UP Tacloban’s Gender and Development Program (GDP) and Office of Anti-Sexual Harassment (OASH), in partnership with the Division of Humanities and Ugnayan ng Pahinungód, conducted “An Bata nga Babaye Lider han Kabag-ohán,” a gender sensitivity training workshop at Sagkahan Elementary School on 23 October 2025.

UP Tacloban Gender and Development Program (GDP) and Office of Anti-Sexual Harassment (OASH), organized SPEAK UP 2: United for a VAW-Free Philippines, a festival of student-produced short videos on gender issues held at the campus Library Hall on 26 November 2025.

UP Tacloban’s CMSC 154 (Fundamentals of Geographic Information Systems) and FISH 134 (Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing for Fisheries) classes organized a map exhibit on 26-27 November 2025 at the Leyte Samar Heritage Center Gallery.

In celebration of National Children’s Month and International Children’s Day, UP Tacloban launched its Children’s University program on 20 November 2025 with “Initiating Resilience through Art and Youth Action (IRAYA): Linog, Bagyo ug Daluyong,” a disaster preparedness workshop held at the Leyte Samar Heritage Center Gallery.

UP Tacloban joins the nationwide 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW), which begins today, 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children, and ends on 12 December, the International Day Against Trafficking.
