As part of UP Tacloban’s Women’s Month celebration, the UP Tacloban Gender and Development Program will hold the “MOVE for Women! A Training-Workshop for the Certification of Men Opposed to VAW Everywhere UP Tacloban Chapter” on 6-7 March 2024 at the UPTC DM Conference Room 2. This activity will be participated in by male faculty, REPS, and administrative personnel.
The two-day training-workshop is a follow-up activity to “Let’s MOVE Now: A Forum with Men Opposed to VAW Everywhere (MOVE),” which was held last 6 December 2023 as part of the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW. Among the UP constituent units, only UP Los Baños has a MOVE chapter. The certification of the UP Tacloban MOVE chapter will be a significant milestone in our campaign to end VAW and in promoting male involvement in gender equality and the empowerment of all women.
The invited speaker for the training-workshop is Prof. King David J. Agreda, the GAD Coordinator of Cavite State University, President of CvSU MOVE-KATROPA, and a member of the CALABARZON GAD Resource Pool.
