Arts 1 and PhilArts 1 students present their art installation proposals

In a symposium and workshop on installation art curation with Asst. Prof. Jay Nathan Jore, curator of UP Cebu’s Jose T. Joya Gallery, ARTS 1 and PHILARTS 1 students of UP Tacloban talked about how art can alter the spectator’s perception of space and encourage deep reflection on broad global or societal issues. The symposium and workshop was held on 29 April 2024 at the Leyte Samar Heritage Center Gallery, as the last in a series of symposia in the “(GE)n Z: The General Education Experience for Generation Z and Beyond Ideas Festival” organized under UP Tacloban’s GE Program.

COMING SOON: ARTS 1 and PHILARTS 1 students are showcasing their installation art based on Philippine games in “(dis)PLAY: An Installation Art Exhibit” on 16 May 2024 all around the UP campus, as part of UP Tacloban’s celebration of National Heritage Month.
