University of the Philippines marks its 117th Foundation Day

18 June 2025

Today, June 18, 2025, the University of the Philippines marks its 117th Foundation Day — a celebration of over a century of service to the Filipino, as envisioned by its first president, Murray Bartlett.

This card draws inspiration from the debut of The Oblation in 1935 at UP Padre Faura campus on National Heroes’ Day in 1935— a timeless symbol of selfless service to the nation and humanity.

As we celebrate Linggo ng Unibersidad, we honor this enduring spirit through the Gawad Pangulo on June 20, which recognizes outstanding contributions to UP’s public service mission.
