UP Tacloban’s Leyte Samar Heritage Center hosted a training program for the preservation and conservation of heritage structures in the Philippines

ICYMI || UP Tacloban’s Leyte Samar Heritage Center hosted a training program for the preservation and conservation of heritage structures in the Philippines organized by the National Committee on Monuments and Sites of the National Commission for the Culture and the Arts (NCCA-NCMS) on 26-27 May 2025.
 
Local planning and tourism officers from various municipalities in Leyte province and church and heritage group representatives attended the two-day event, which featured lectures by NCCA Commissioner Dr. Ivan Anthony S. Henares and other experts and simulated mapping and site visits to key heritage landmarks in Tacloban City and Palo.
