This year’s PANAnaw Awards Competition centers on PNOC, the leading energy company in the country. With a theme, “Innovative Approaches to Resolving the Philippine Energy Trilemma,” the case study urged students to develop actionable solutions that balance energy security, energy equity, and environmental sustainability.

Out of 22 schools nationwide, the team along with their mentor, Asst. Prof. Barnett Balberia, reached the finals and presented last November 22 at The Elements Centris, Quezon City. Their campaign entitled “ENERGency! Gising Kaba, Ka Ba?, Kabataan” aims to evoke the Filipinos’ sense of urgency on the current energy crisis and transform information to action by promoting energy-saving practices in their daily routines and collaborating with the youth to spearhead energy-related initiatives in their communities.

The prestigious PANAnaw Awards is an annual brand communications competition of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) Foundation that fosters the country’s top marketing students to develop an actual marketing campaign based on the different communication theories learned from school.
