UP Tacloban’s Mindful Walk Highlights Mental Health

In celebration of World Mental Health Day, UP Tacloban College organized a “Mindful Nature Walk” on October 10, 2024. The event, held on campus, was designed to offer students and faculty a rejuvenating experience focused on mental well-being and mindfulness.

Led by BA Psychology instructors and members of the student organization Psych Circle, participants engaged in a variety of activities aimed at reducing stress and promoting a sense of inner peace. The walk featured mindful breathing exercises, laughter yoga sessions, and an interactive gratitude wall where participants could share their reflections. Attendees also enjoyed activities like free association and forest bathing, an immersive practice that invites individuals to connect with nature through their senses.
