The UP Tacloban College – Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (UPTC-JPIA) was declared overall champion at the 28th Regional Mid-Year Convention (RMYC) held on 21-25 November 2025 at St. Peter’s College of Ormoc, Inc. after taking first place in the academic league category and second place in the non-academic league category of the annual competitions.
The academic league winners included Mhay Angela I. Tillo (Advanced Financial Accounting and Reporting Cup), Kharyza Mae B. Roldan (Auditing Cup), Mhay Angela O. Alve (Executive Cup), Jessa Marie S. Garcia, Rica A. Celso, & Christine N. Estrella (Math Challenge), and Alexa Marie B. Orechuela (Calculator Challenge), as well as Emanuel Dominguelles, Joanna D. Pandac, and Hannah B. Nunez as Regional Cyber Accounting Genuine Victors.
In the non-academic league category, Mary Lourdgen C. Ramos was crowned Ms. Ambassador of Goodwill 2025. The UPTC team also placed first in Advocacy Presentation, Local Chapter Logo Design, Battle of the Bands, and Block Blast Battle.
