9th Biennial Eastern Visayas Political Science Conference

UP Tacloban’s BA Political Science Program, in collaboration with the student organization UP Politikons, hosted the 9th Biennial Eastern Visayas Political Science Conference with the theme, “From Votes to Voices: Empowering Civic Engagement and Leadership in Philippine Democracy” on 22 March 2025 at the People’s Center and Library, Tacloban City.
Around 450 students and faculty from around Region VIII attended the conference, which focused on pressing issues in the Philippines’ sociopolitical landscape, including misinformation, electoral justice, and electoral reforms.
This biennial conference of UP Tacloban’s BA Political Science program aims to bring together Political Science students from across Eastern Visayas to engage in meaningful discussions of national and global political issues.
