The BS Biology program aims to produce graduates who can–

1. Demonstrate mastery of fundamental concepts, principles, and procedures in biology;
2. Apply their knowledge of biological principles and methods to develop understanding of the natural world and help address local and global issues;
3. Effectively communicate biological principles and scientific ideas and findings to both scientific and general audiences;
4. Actively promote biodiversity conservation, sustainable natural resource management, and environmental protection; and
5. Act professionally, ethically, and with a strong sense of nationalism and public service in their personal and professional endeavors.
