On 12 February 2025 the Division of Humanities, in collaboration with the Leyte Samar Heritage Center (LSHC), hosted a symposium on translation featuring a book talk on “Húbad: Ester Tapia” by Professor Emeritus Merlie Alunan. in Tatak UPLast 10-12 January 2025 UP Tacloban’s Ugnayan ng Pahinungod held a training workshop on mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) for persons with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities, in partnership with Nationwide Organization of Visually Impaired Empowered Ladies (NOVEL), a group of women with visual impairment pushing for gender equality and disability inclusion.
